This is an opportunity for LIA members to hear directly from Commissioner Lefton about more details on environmental policy included in Governor Kathy Hochul's State of the State and soon-to-be issued FY 2027 Executive Budget.

Commissioner Lefton was confirmed by the New York State Senate on May 28, 2025 as the 16th Commissioner of the agency, and has public and private sector experience. including previously serving as the Director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) within the U.S. Department of the Interior.
