Featuring New York State Senator Kemp Hannon and The Nature Conservancy
The Economics of Water and What the New $2.5 Billion Clean Water Fund Could Mean for Long IslandNew York State is on the verge of approving a budget with a multi-billion investment in protecting the region’s water supply. This would help ensure all New Yorkers have access to clean, safe drinking water by addressing extensive water quality issues and infrastructure needs for homeowners and businesses.
One of the leading architects of the plan is our special guest, New York State Senator Kemp Hannon. We will also be joined by one of the leading organizations behind the push for clean water, The Nature Conservancy, which recently published a report entitled, “The Dollars and Sense of Investing in Clean Water.”
As the LIA has often stated, “Our environment is our economy.” At this meeting, LIA members will have the opportunity to hear special presentations from Senator Hannon and The Nature Conservancy and ask them questions.
