LI business leaders hear from Congress

- The panel discussed Iran tensions, immigration reform efforts including the Dignity Act, and energy projects such as Sunrise Wind.
About 700 business leaders gathered at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury on Monday for the Long Island Association (LIA) “What’s New in Washington” event. The region’s congressional delegation discussed how federal policy and global events are affecting Long Island.
Moderated by Long Island Association Acting President and CEO Stacey Sikes, the panel included U.S. Reps. Andrew Garbarino (R- Bayport), Laura Gillen (D-Rockville Centre), Nick LaLota (R-Amityville) and Tom Suozzi (D-Glen Cove).
