Touting the merits of the state’s 64-campus system is SUNY Chancellor John King. On a recent morning in June, King was in Melville to speak with members of the Long Island Association. Yet amid his marketing of SUNY, King was looking to the business leaders not only for atate university ambassadors, but also for partners to better prepare students for the workforce.
