Long Island Association Elects New Members to Board of Directors

Melville, NY - The Long Island Association (LIA) is pleased to announce the election of two new members to the Board of Directors at its recent January meeting. The new members include:


Rebecca O’Connell, Executive Vice President, Head Corporate Banking for the NYC Metro Region at Citizens Bank, encompassing NYC and the surrounding boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, Northern NJ and Southern CT. In her role, Rebecca is responsible for leading the strategic direction of Corporate Banking, inclusive of client relationships, community engagement and continued market expansion. Rebecca previously served on the LIA Board.

Kristen Reynolds, President & CEO of Discover Long Island, the official regional organization charged with furthering Long Island’s $6.3 billion tourism economy. Her experience as a destination leader spans more than 25 years in roles at the state tourism level, in corporate and luxury resorts and as the statewide lobbyist for tourism and economic development advocacy.

“The LIA’s Board of Directors plays a leading role in supporting our region’s economic development, and I look forward to working with Rebecca and Kristen to achieve our goals,” said Larry Waldman, LIA Board Chair.
