Long Island Association Elects New Directors to Board
 

Melville, NY - The Long Island Association (LIA) is proud to announce the addition of five new business leaders to its Board of Directors in 2025. These distinguished executives bring decades of experience from key sectors including banking and financial services; life sciences and innovation; and sports and entertainment.
The LIA Board of Directors has added:

  • Irina Berg - Industry Head, Nonprofit, Higher Education & NFP Healthcare, Citi Commercial Bank, U.S.

Citi is a global leader in financial services and provides a wide range of banking solutions to businesses and communities on Long Island, supporting regional economic growth. Ms. Berg replaces John Burke who previously represented Citi on the LIA Board.

  • Tamra Postiglione - Market Executive-Managing Director, Middle Market, Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Flagstar Bank

Flagstar Bank is the largest Bank headquartered on Long Island and has made a strong commitment to supporting Long Island’s business community through customized financial services, strategic investments, and a growing regional presence that enhances access to capital and economic development opportunities. Flagstar Bank is a new member joining the LIA Board.

  • Charlie Prizzi - Senior Vice President of Advancement, Special Advisor to the President , Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is a world-renowned research center that conducts pioneering research and education in cancer, neuroscience, genomics, and biology, contributing to scientific innovation and discovery. Mr. Prizzi replaces Dr. Bruce Stillman who previously represented Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on the LIA Board.

  • Michael Sciortino - General Manager, UBS Arena/New York Islanders

Located in the heart of the expanding experiential destination of Belmont Park, UBS Arena is New York’s newest premier live entertainment and sports venue and is the proud home to the 4-time Stanley Cup Champion New York Islanders. Mr. Sciortino replaces Kim Stone and who previously represented UBS Arena.

  • Beauclarine Thomas - Public Policy Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region, Meta

Meta is a global leader in technology employing thousands of Long Islanders and driving innovation, digital connectivity, and economic opportunity, helping communities thrive in an increasingly connected world. Meta is a new member joining the LIA Board.
